Mary, We don't have any of the medical records in our files and I am not sure where you could look for those. However, we do have a lot of the Osceola Newspapers on file so the report of the death and trials, etc. you might find there. We can make an appointment for you to come and check those out if you would like. Call me at 417-876-3925 Joan.
Hello:
I would appreciate if you would advise me on how to obtain medical records including autopsy and court records on my great grand father George Randall who was shot to death by Moody Davis on August 20, 1888 in Lowry City, Missouri. Are these records kept at the St. Clair Historical Society or ?
I am looking for the correct name of the old cemetery that is on Hwy W. about a mile east of Hwy. 82, across from the school at the top of an incline (and about 100 yds. east of the Nazareen church,) on the gravel road. I have as its name "Dunkard-Wagoner". In my genealogy quest last October, I found my Great Gradfather and Grandmother and other relatives buried in that cemetery. Someone is keeping it mowed and I suspect it is the church nearby. What a wonderful mission.
I also found other close relatives in the cemetery behind the Brush Creek Church, off Hwy 54 on Hwy JJ near Collins. . Does it have a proper name other than the church. My grandparents were married in that church on Mar 22, 1891. Do you know if there are any old records from that church somewhere? I missed you being open when I was in Osceola an don't know when I will be ble to return as I am 82 and driving is difficult for me for such long trips. If you can be of assistance, I would appreciate it.

I am a quilt researcher and a member of the American Quilt Study Group. I have an unfinished quilt top that has names of people who were residents of Osceola, MO in the twentieth century. The family name is Ballou. All the names are men except for one woman, which is unusual for friendship quilts.
I am wondering if you might have photos, city directories, vital records, newspaper notices such as marriage notices and/or obituaries in your collections. Do you do searches for such items for researchers who are unable to come to your museum?
